OnCall Medical Services was started in 1985 by Dr. Mark Schimelman and Dr. Raphael Verdile to answer the need for lower cost, convenient health care for patients not requiring life or limb threatening medical attention. Our first location was a storefront at the Hudson Valley Shopping Plaza and success was rapid as our providers answered the needs of our patients. The office rapidly outgrew that location and a search began for a new permanent home. In 1991, a building and land site was found a short distance away on Route 4 and after an exciting building and transition phase, we moved into a new home at 76 North Greenbush Road.

OnCall has received the prestigious designation of Certified Urgent Care Center this year [2009] and continues to strive to maintain the highest quality of medical services such as our recently implemented digital radiology service and electronic prescribing.

Over the years, we have transformed from a purely urgent care facility to a largely primary care practice as medicine and the needs of our patients have changed. Teaching of medical students and physician assistants has also become an integral part of our office activity.
